Through our activity we are able to to support children’s learning, development & attainment, promote career opportunities within the sector, and help young people to manage their own mental health & wellbeing.
Evoke delivers and supports arts opportunities, events and programmes for education providers and young people throughout Kirklees, including early years settings, schools, youth, community and charity organisations.
These activities and events have been specially designed to support the following areas: Creative Education, Creative Careers, and Creative Health.
These activities and events have been designed to use arts and creative techniques to engage young people and improve attainment. This is achieved by providing new experiences and exploring new learning methods & approaches.
Arts and creative activities can play a major role in improving the physical and mental health of young people. Participating in practical and fun activities can help break down barriers and develop a skill set that enables individuals to better manage and overcome their own unique circumstances.
The arts and creative sector is thriving in Kirklees and it is one of the main sources of employment in the area. Our Creative Careers resources demonstrate the multiple career options available and provide support in gaining a job within the sector.
The partnership brings together people from arts and cultural organisations, educational institutions and the local authority to drive joined-up local arts and cultural offer, share resources and knowledge, and strengthen and increase high-quality arts for children and young people across the borough both inside and outside of school.
